Games, whether they be rock, paper, scissors or Tic-Tack-Doe they are all a form of gambling because you are playing to win the game. Games and gambling have been around for centuries but many people believe that a simple game is not a form of gambling, but the object of game is to win. So if the object of the game is to win than it is a form of gambling.

Laws prohibit gambling in many states and countries but then if you play a simple game you are breaking the law because I simple game is a form of gambling. I have played many games like Monopoly, pinochle, bowling and running where prizes were given to the winner. This is a form of gambling! The people of the world that think that gambling is going to casinos, playing poker or other forms of winning money are the only forms of gambling are mistaken. If you play a chess match and the winner gets the prize, the chess match was a form of gambling.

Church groups and other groups frown on gambling but yet they will hold bingo two or three nights a week. They say it is to raise funds for the church or civic action group and are totally against having casinos or poker rooms in their community. People are going to gamble whether it is at their local church, take a trip to where the casinos are or play online at hundreds of different casinos.

The conclusion of this article is that people will gamble whether it is a simple game of cards or casino slot machines or playing poker till midnight. Gambling has been a form of entertainment and enjoyment since the beginning of civilization. You are not going to change the culture of the world by simply outlawing gambling. If people would accept other peoples values and let them do live their life the society would be much happier.
